چکیده

The present study was carried out at Lovely Professional university, Phagwara, Punjab during 2019 to the performance of okra under irrigation levels and mulching methods drip irrigation. treatment comprised 3 (1.0 ETc, 0.8 ETc 0.6 ETc) 5 mulch (black plastic mulch, silver straw soil no mulch) laid in split plot design replicated thrice. growth yield attributes were significantly influenced by methods. level I2 (0.8 exhibited maximum plant height (100.45 cm), number branches per (1.77), (216.59 g) whereas I1 recorded pod (15.59 tonnes/ha) which is par with (15.36 tonnes/ha). black found superior over treatments terms height, branches, plant, (19.09 water use efficiency (0.41 tonnes/ha-cm) I3 (0.46 tonnes/ha-cm). interaction effect not showed significant difference on but affected efficiency. At effect, (0.56 combination M1. Maximum B:C ratio (3.49) (3.40). Black higher did ratio. Looking crop, ratio, it can be recommended that crop good mulch.

Response of lateral placement depths of subsurface drip irrigation on okra (Abelmoschus esculentus)

Subsurface drip irrigation is defined as application of water below the soil surface through emitters, with discharge rates generally in the same range as surface drip irrigation. It has many advantages over surface drip. To see the response of subsurface drip irrigation on okra yield, a study was conducted at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India during 2003 and 2004. Okra (...

Irrigation Management of Subsurface Drip Irrigation of Palm Trees under Arid and Semiarid Regions

In order to investigate the effect of water quantity in subsurface drip irrigation on water use efficiency of palm yield and yield components, and determining suitable irrigation treatments for three different date cultivars, a split plot experiment design in a randomized complete block design with three replications were applied for three cropping years (2013-2016), at Behbahan Agricultural Re...

Fertilizer Requirement for Densely Planted Okra ( Abelmoschus esculentus L . )

A study was conducted at Mahailluppallama, in the Low country Dry zone (DL1b) of Sri Lanka, during Maha (2008/2009) to determine the fertilizer requirement of Okra when planted at closer spacings. Three (03) fertilizer levels (T1DOA recommendation/ plant, 2 DOA recommendation/ unit area and T31 1⁄2 times DOA recommendation/ unit area) were tested using Okra varieties Haritha and Green Tender (F...

Fertigation response of Abelmoschus esculentus L. (Okra) with sugar mill effluent in two different seasons

The fertigation response of sugar mill effluent doses namely: 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% on Abelmoschus esculentus (var. IHR 31) in two different seasons, that is, rainy (Kharif) and summer (Zaid) seasons was investigated. The study revealed that fertigant had significant (P<0.01) effect on moisture content, EC, pH, Cl , OC, HCO3 , CO3 -2 , Na + , K + , Ca 2+ , Mg 2+ , Fe 2+ , TKN, NO3 2, ...
